The ICJ has ruled that Singapore owns sovereignty over Pulau Batu Puteh while Malaysia owns Middle Rock. That ends the territorial dispute between Malaysia and Singapore over the past 28 years. There are lots of things for us Malaysians to learn from this historical event especially with regard to what the ICJ described as the 'acts consistent with sovereignty' a titre de souverain'.
